movement is therapy.

moving the body moves thoughts, feelings, and energy.

informed by the belief that you possess the knowledge and ability to heal, i work to facilitate and support you as you move through experiences and sensations in the body and mind. utilizing the body as an entry point allows us to access certain material that may not otherwise be available solely through talk-therapy. i work by addressing the whole-ness of your experience: your body is a democracy, so we will spend time exploring the loudest and most explicit messages it sends, as well as the more subtle ones.

i works from a strengths-based, client-centered approach that draws upon experiential learning, body awareness, and mindfulness. this means you're in the driver's seat: you know yourself and your body better than anyone else. you know where you need to go to grow and heal. i am here to support, empower, and guide you along the way. you can expect an eclectic, unique approach utilizing dance/movement therapy, yoga, Ayurveda, neuroscience, somatic experiencing (SE), mindfulness, self-inquiry, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

i have extensive training in DBT and trauma-informed modalities and have cultivated a refined and embodied approach towards resourcing, resiliency, and growth. in particular, i am interested in reuniting you with body: introducing the body as an ally, rather than a separate entity, in your lived experience. i hold experience working at various mental health clinics across differing levels of care, and have focused my clinical approach on eating disorders, body dysmorphia, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

each day of human life contains joy and anger, pain and pleasure, darkness and light, growth and decay. each moment is etched with nature’s grand design — do not try to deny or oppose the cosmic order of things.
