The breath is an important part of our yoga practice, but why? Prana, the vital force; and ayama, expansion or control; teach us that we have the ability to both expand and amplify our vital energy, as well as consciously control and direct it. Either way, our inherent juiciness is increased by connecting to the breath.
This workshop will focus on powerful and accessible techniques designed to nurture, balance, and vitalize you to the fullest based on time of day and season. We will explore the three doshas Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, and learn how to harness the unique subtle energy within. You will cultivate integrated Pranayama techniques for your daily life and yoga practice. A modern and fun approach will be given to the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, yoga's sister science, to empower you to go to deeper into your practice -- when we let prana lead the way, our potential for growth, healing, and exploration is significantly increased.
